I Am a Survivor

Why do I say this? Well although I am an integrative optometrist, a functional medicine advocate and practitioner,  I also am a patient. I walked the walk in functional medicine and now I am making it a mission to make it available to other practitioners to provide their patients with that knowledge.

I was diagnosed with a debilitating condition, trigeminal neuralgia aka the suicide disease in my 30s that dropped me to my knees.  I had to stop my life dead in its tracks get myself to a place of healing. And this was only possible with integrative medicine.

I always thought that I was a bit unique sometimes not in a good way.  But now I embrace it.  You see, I look at gaps and problems as opportunity to thrive, I feel as though I never had a choice to let despair take control.

Starting a new practice or an nutrition program within a clinic can be overwhelming. But I took the plunge during a global shutdown and I am now here to share my insights and successes.

I am a mother of two amazing little ladies and a wife of a compassionate, intelligent doctor. They are my life, my soul.  But my work and purpose to bring integrative nutrition into healthcare is a desire that can not be stopped.

I graduated Rutgers University for undergraduate studies and subsequently started optometry school at the prestigious SUNY College of Optometry.  I didn’t know what my future held and practiced great standard of care optometry for over 10 years.  But after my health revelation I had to change the status quo.

In my Optometry Practice

I founded Integrative Vision at 15 years of clinical practice. One of the first in the nation, a fully integrative optometric practice. Prior to this,  I worked 35 different clinical setting from the age of 17 and kept notes for what I would do different if it was my own.

Like many other doctors I found issues with patient care, employee engagement, health advocacy, and even practice management.  There must be a better way.

My philosophy to patient care is team care, compassion, and thinking outside the work.

I love consulting, growing and thinking critically.  A cold start nutrition program within a clinic can be daunting but I had no choice to figure it out and have realized I have to share the wealth.

Let me help you get started and excel in your practice!
